Our most recent venture is to replace our current waste disposal system to a recycling system. It's not always easy as we have very mischievous monkeys who love mixing the contents of the bin or throwing them out. Nonetheless we still make an effort to dispose of our waste appropriately through recycling.
Why We Recycle
- It creates jobs in South Africa
- Improving South African economy as we don't have to import raw materials if we recycle them
- More space will become available in landfill sites
- It helps our environment which is a BIG deal for us!
Old food on the reserve is being thrown into a compost heap. We recently started a veggie garden and the heap is used to fertilize the ground for the new vegetable seeds.
